On my street. I'm in a not-rural-at-all neighborhood about a mile as the bear wanders from a state park. They have been sighted on my street, by my own daughter, in fact. It worries me when I walk Murphy, because he has no concept of his own size, he is 10 feet tall and bulletproof, and he would try to run off a black bear just like he ran off that Intruding Cat.Catherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16862784896982818464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9120696498216284839.post-53458030931786648292007-01-10T22:35:00.000-05:002007-01-10T22:35:00.000-05:00My Yorkie will be six in April. I live in town, but I've seen foxes in my neighborhood. (There is a wooded ravine with a creek running through it at the end of my block.) And the fence was of course already repaired well enough to keep the adventurer in, but after the hurricanes in '04, any good storm may be the one to finish it off. It needs to be patrolled for weak spots regularly now.Catherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16862784896982818464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9120696498216284839.post-76988715257965323602007-01-10T13:37:00.000-05:002007-01-10T13:37:00.000-05:00A little bit of fencing or a few posts should bloc...A little bit of fencing or a few posts should block the weak spot until it's time for a new fence. Dogs love to exploit those spots time and again and it's hard to never leave them to it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9120696498216284839.post-2882443828235842642007-01-10T06:54:00.000-05:002007-01-10T06:54:00.000-05:00Uh Oh.
