Actual Knitting Taking Place Here!

Mostly due to suddenly being felled by a very sinister virus yesterday, and being unable to do much besides sit on the couch and knit. I finished one of my generic recipe Dulaan hats, in a nice royal blue Cascade 220. And I felted some stuff. I'll put the photos of the pre-felted state in another post. Two failures, one success.

I started another Dulaan hat, same recipe as the others. I have a generic lasagna and brownie recipe too. I don't understand people who never make the same thing twice - shoot, if it works I can make 20 of the suckers.

The Lost Dugan Cousin (Not really, but damn, she looks and acts just like one of the family) has been on a roll with her diet talk. I got there the same week she did, confirming the lost cousin theory. I didn't buy the book, though. I've seen Dr. Oz on Oprah and just nodded like a Chihuahua on the dashboard, yep, yep, I know all that already. Did I actually execute any of that? Uh, no. Not until it became obvious that 30 minutes of exercise is great, but not enough to reverse the trend of fatness developing in the House of the Bossy Dogs. I was much thinner (oh, um, 20 pounds, ish?) when I automated my meals. A year and a half of business lunches has been a disaster. If I eat out at lunch I need to automate dinner with raw veggies and hummus, or something.

At least I'll get compensated for getting fatter, the promotion that has been in the works for a freaking eternity was announced to God and Everybody today. Thanks to global warming and the recent news reports of glaciers breaking apart, I can now officially state that my company moves on these things at a slower-than-glacial pace.

Yay!
And automating dinner makes sense, because you're tired and Twinkies are so much easier than cooking...

Tonight was a piece of salmon and steamed veggies. Both from the freezer and no pot was dirtied in the process. It's not hard to do it right, it just takes a little thought in the supermarket.

God and Everybody didn't care. God and Everybody knows I've already been doing this job, without the title or the bucks. God yawned. Everybody shrugged. ;-)
