I've decided that small crocheted bowls may be the way to test-felt a swatch. It creates something useful if it works. I use this one to catch my everyday jewelry at night. The sides are a little taller than I'd intended, and I blocked it on a can of nuts. Love the way it took to blocking. No, I can't tell you about the yarn, it's a handpainted from the stash, vintage about two years ago.
