I know the last thing anyone expects to see around here is an actual knitting photo, but I cast on the Argosy Wrap over the weekend and could barely put it down. I am through the second repeat of Section 2, and had to force myself to put it away after several hours, because I knew I was getting tired enough to start making mistakes. This pattern is easy but not totally idiot-proof, I do have to pay attention to counting and not losing my place. What is it about watching the stripes change colors? It's just so much fun. I love this pattern, it is Clapotis-like in its ingeniousness, and I marvel at the designer's creativity. The yarn is Noro Kureyon, color 40, and the photo is fairly true to color.

That's one of my favorite Kureyon colorways. Of course being a pasty redhead, I can't wear those colors!

Heck, if Catherine actually knit that (yeah, right, C, like I don't know you hired a stunt knitter) we can wear colors like that!

It's a fun pattern, it has just enough to it to not be boring, and I am addicted to this yarn! This is the first time I've used Kureyon for a project this size, and I take back my criticism of it not being soft enough for my fussy self. The fabric it makes is dense and not scratchy as I'd feared it would be, and I love, love, love these colors. The photo is a bit brighter than the reality, I'll take another in a few days, when it's long enough to show the real shape, and see if I can tweak the colors so they are true.
